321.01 When people say of Universe, “I wonder what is outside its outside?” they are trying to conjure a unitary conception and are asking for a single picture of an infinitely transforming, nonsimultaneous scenario. Therefore, their question is not only unanswerable but unrealistic, and indicates that they have not listened seriously to Einstein and are only disclosing their ignorance of its significance when they boastfully tell you that the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second.

321.02 You cannot get out of Universe. Universe is not a system. Universe is not a shape. Universe is a scenario. You are always in Universe. You can only get out of systems.

(…)

322.01 Universe can only be thought of competently in terms of a great, unending, but finite scenario whose as yet unfilled film strip is constantly selfregenerative. All experiences are terminated, ergo finite. An aggregate of finites is finite. Our Universe is finite but nonsimultaneously conceptual: a moving-picture scenario of nonsimultaneous and only partially overlapping events. One single picture__one frame__does not tell the story. The single-frame picture of a caterpillar does not foretell or imply the transformation of that creature, first, into the chrysalis stage and, much later, into the butterfly phase of its life. Nor does one picture of a butterfly tell the viewer that the butterfly can fly.

322.02 In scenarios, you have to have a pretty long sequence run in order to gain any clue at all as to what is going on. You cannot learn what it is all about from a single picture. You cannot understand life without much experience.

323.00 In the endless but finite and never exactly repeating (Heisenberged) “film- strip” scenario of evolutionary Universe, after the film strip has been projected, it goes through a dissolved phase and re-forms again to receive the ever-latest self- intertransforming patterning just before being again projected. The rate of change and the numbers of special-case self-retransformings of physical evolution tend ever to accelerate, differentiate, and multiply; while the rate of change and the numbers of self-remodifyings of generalized law conceptionings of metaphysical evolution tend ever to decelerate, simplify, consolidate, and ultimately unify.

This is an angel talking with an ER physician shortly after losing a young patient – his first direct conversation with spiritual beings. The preceding paragraph touched on the idea of God as the great organizing principle in the universe….

“There is a certain element of entropy that is intentionally built into a system to keep it from becoming stagnant. This force is a part of God. Without a force to keep things falling apart, everything would reach a state of perfect, crystalline perfection. This would be a frozen, motionless, lifeless state of affairsin which nothing new would be created.”

Hope that little bit is helpful.

    Love to all!

  2. Wayne Palmer says:

    Hello friends,

I have long held that all of life on our planet, at least, is an expression of electrical waves, or at an even deeper quantum physical level, optical waves (photons/quarks) – frequencies, patterns and oscillations back and forth between two dynamically opposite poles. The length of the wave and the height of the wave (amplitude) determines what that wave manifests as on this plane of existence. Without the draw and drag of the opposite pole, there would be no life, no length to the wave, not amplitude to the waive, no unique expression from the void, but only the void itself, all flat and monotone.

Furthermore, I see that in oscillating back and forth, and being exposed to the natural drag, degradation, or “entropy” that exists in between the poles, as Susan has so beautifully brought to our attention, choice comes into being. Do I stand by and let things decay, be it a piece of property, my own body, a relationship, time, knowledge or etc.? Or do I choose to act, to do something, to re-route some energy over which I have dominion, to sustain certain waves, in certain ways, by my own volition (choice)? Therein lies one of the great mysteries and powers of life, in my opinion. Do I spend an hour on the Bucky call on Thursday night, or do I watch March Madness? Do I take a nap or go to my son’s baseball practice? Choices, endless choices, each adding a step to the dance of life and creating outcomes that in and of themselves become impetus for other choices, nothing ever resting permanently, all things requiring sources of energy to sustain themselves until one day each in turn all becomes something else. Even death, I see as a cycle that returns us to the pole that was our source (the circle of life), as Lion King put it.

I will do my best to be on the call on Thursday night. I am flying to ND that afternoon and am a bit uncertain of my schedule for landing there and getting to a phone, etc. Given the clear choice, I will be there on the call with you.

    Love to all,

    wlp
